Busing Information Being Sent; Updates Needed

Your child's school bus route information will be mailed on Wednesday, August 21.  Please watch your mailbox for a yellow postcard with the information.  New this year, student transportation information will also be available on each child's Skyward Family Access account after August 23.

Sartell High School Selects Raehsler as Head Girls Soccer Coach

Cassie Raehsler has been selected as Head Coach of the Sartell High School Girls Soccer Team.  Raehsler has had previous high school coaching experience as an assistant coach at both Sartell and Sauk Rapids High School.  She has also coached several years of travel soccer for the St. Cloud Youth Soccer program.

Raehsler will be replacing Joe Perske, who announced his retirement from coaching after the 2012 season to focus on his duties as Physical Education teacher and mayor of Sartell.  Perske was the head coach for 10 years.

ISD 748 School Board Approves Interim Superintendent Contract

The Sartell-St. Stephen School Board approved a one-year contract for Mike Spanier to serve as the interim superintendent for the Sartell-St. Stephen School District.  The contract is from July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2014, pending the hiring of a permanent superintendent.  Spanier has served in a variety of leadership roles within the district, most currently as the Director of Learning Services. 

An interim Director of Learning Services will be approved at the July Board Meeting.

Regular School Board Meetings Held at 4:00 During Summer Months

In June, July and August, the regular School Board meetings will start at 4:00 p.m. at the District Service Center.  They will go back to the 6:00 p.m. time during the school year.

Input Sought on Vision 2015 Survey

Between Wednesday, May 22nd, and Thursday, May 30th, please take the time to fill out this year's Vision 2015 survey.   The feedback from this survey will help provide valuable information to guide ISD 748 in meeting our Vision 2015 goals and district-wide continuous improvement efforts.  To take the survey, click the following link:

Special Education Parent Advisory Council to Meet on May 13

Parents of students with special needs, please join us for a relaxing and informative evening.  Connect with other parents, learn about community resources and the newly forming Sartell-St. Stephen Special Education Parent Advisory Council - an opportunity for parents to help advise school districts on the development of programs and services to meet the special education needs of children and families.

The meeting will be held on Monday, May 13, at 6:00 PM at the District Service Center.  

Special Olympics Event Cancelled Due To Poor Weather

Due to the predicted poor weather conditions for Saturday, May 4, the Special Olympics Event at the Middle School track has been cancelled. Thank you to all the student athletes, staff and community members that volunteered to help host this event. There were over 130 people that offered to volunteer!.

Sartell-St. Stephen Athletic Hall of Fame Accepting Nominations

Sartell High School is well-known for its great athletic tradition and accomplishments.  It's time to remember and recognize the contributions and achievements of the individuals that have helped to create "Sabre Pride".

There are three categories being considered for induction:  Student/Player/Athlete, Coach and Community Member At-Large.  Click here to see the nomination form for more details and to nominate someone.

ISD 748 Schools CLOSED Friday, April 19th

Due to inclement weather, Sartell-St. Stephen Schools will be CLOSING today, Friday, April 19. All before and after school activities and Community Education classes are also cancelled.  The SHS Spring Musical, Fiddler on the Roof, will still be performing tonight at 7:00 P.M.  The SMS 5/6 Activity Night for tonight has been cancelled. We will be providing more information on our website and Facebook page if/when this gets rescheduled.

Due to school being cancelled today, April 19, the make-up day for all students and staff will be Friday, May 31.
