Current Board Member and Vice Chair for the Sartell-St. Stephen School District, Patrick Jacobson-Schulte, will be relocating to a home located outside of the Sartell-St. Stephen School District that meets the needs of his family. Jacobson-Schulte will be resigning from the Board effective May 30, as it is a requirement that school board members are residents of the district they serve. The Board will discuss how they will move forward at an upcoming work session on May 14.
With the district doing another upgrade to Skyward, there are now some known issues on the district website that are being worked on. The pages are still functional, but have html coding that is visible at the top and may be formatting differently. If you scroll down, you will be able to see the pages. The SMS Choir Concert has been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 8th. 5th & 6th grade will sing at 7:00 p.m. and the 7th & 8th grade will perform at 8:00 p.m. The concert will still be in the High School auditorium.
Due to severe weather warnings on May 1, the Sartell Middle School Choir Concert had to be postponed.
The Sartell Booster Club Spring Social will be held on Friday, April 27th, from 7-10pm at Blackberry Ridge Golf Club. The event is free to everyone and it is a good opportunity to sign up/renew your membership.
The Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Central Minnesota selected Dylan Benoit as the “Outstanding High School Volunteer“ of the year on Thursday, April 19th. Each year, Big Brothers/Big Sisters selects a male and female student who have been outstanding mentors in the school-based Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program. Dylan was nominated because of the dedication and enthusiasm he has for his “little brother”.
There will be a “Mock Crash” that is being held at Sartell Middle School today, April 20th, for Sartell High School students. The event will be staged behind the middle school and high school students will be acting as “victims” of the crash. There will be a helicopter that will fly over and land around 2:30.
