SHS Selects Hornseth as Head Volleyball Coach

Sarah Hornseth has been selected as Head Coach of the Sartell High School Volleyball Team.  Hornseth has been an assistant varsity coach at Sartell High School for the past five years.  She has also coached several years of Junior Olympic Volleyball in the Sartell program.

Hornseth replaces Ronell Uran, who retired from coaching after 20 years as head coach of the Sabres.  In 2005, Uran was named the State Volleyball Coach of the Year.

As a Minnesota Reading Corps literacy tutor, you can help change this statistic and the lives of struggling readers. As the nation’s largest state AmeriCorps program, we are recognized because our tutors are getting results with the students they serve and are helpingto ensure that all children are successful readers by the end of third grade.

Volunteers Needed for Special Olympics Event

Sartell-St. Stephen School District is hosting the Area 7 Special Olympics Track and Field meet on Saturday, May 17th.

We are looking for high school or parent volunteers for many positions:  Timer, Shot Put, Softball/Tennis Throw, Running Long Jump, High Jump, Awards, Staging/Escorting or Registration.

There are two shifts available:  9:00 to 12:30 or 12:00 to 3:30

After School Activities Cancelled for February 20

Due to inclement weather, Sartell-St. Stephen Schools will be cancelling all after school activities today, Thursday, February 20.  All Community Education classes and Sartell High School conferences are also cancelled.

School Board Recognition Week February 17-21

The Sartell-St. Stephen School District will join school districts throughout the state to salute their local education leaders during Minnesota’s annual School Board Recognition Week February 17-21.

This week is designed to recognize the contributions made by Minnesota’s school board members who are charged with governing public education under state law.

Sartell-St. Stephen Schools Closed Tuesday, January 28

Due to inclement weather, Sartell-St. Stephen Schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 28.  All before and after school activities and Community Education classes are also canceled.
