Because KIDSTOP is not a school-sponsored program, all children must be enrolled as members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota in order to participate in KIDSTOP. For more information, please contact your school site's Program Manager or call the Boys & Girls Club at 252-7616.

As a general rule, if the Sartell-St. Stephen School District cancels classes due to inclement weather, or other causes, KIDSTOP will be canceled.

KIDSTOP is a school-age child care program for K-6 located at 12 schools in the St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids and Sartell districts. Kids love KIDSTOP because they have so many activities to choose from, including Power Hour homework help, computer access, gym activities, outdoor games, arts and crafts or just hanging out with friends. Parents love it because they know their kids are in the hands of youth guidance professionals who really care about them. KIDSTOP provides a way for parents to give their kids a quality after-school experience at an affordable price. KIDSTOP gives kids daily opportunities that parents know are vital for their child’s healthy growth. All of these services stem from the Boys & Girls Club’s five core program areas:

  • Character & Leadership Development
  • Education and Career Development
  • Health & Life Skills
  • The Arts
  • Sports, Fitness & Recreation

KIDSTOP is offered immediately after school ends until 6 p.m. The program is also offered during most school holidays and during the summer. Scholarships and county assistance are available to families having financial difficulty. The Boys & Girls Club is committed to making sure that ALL children have the opportunity to participate in a quality after-school program. The mission of the Boys & Girls Club is to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, caring citizens.

The KIDSTOP program offers:

  • Life-enhancing programs that help young people see their possibilities
  • Full-time professional leadership
  • Parents only pay for the days their child actually attends
  • Nutritious snacks are provided daily
  • KIDSTOP is open every day from school dismissal until 6 p.m.
KIDSTOP is open most school holidays and during the summer
(except the day after Thanksgiving, December 24th & 31st)
