Cyber Safety Presentation

Cyber Safety is a real concern for parents and students of the 21st Century.  On Tuesday, November 16th from 7:00-8:30 PM at Sartell High School, Dave Eisenmann, M.A.Ed., Director of Instructional Technology &Media Services at Minnetonka Public Schools will be speaking on ‘Catching Up With High Tech Kids in a High Tech World.’  This presentation is free of charge and open to all Sartell-St. Stephen school district parents and staff members.

The presentation will cover:

1. Keeping on top of what kids do with technology is tough and ever changing, but critical to children's safety and future. 

2. Finding out about potential risks associated with the wide-ranging technologies kids use, from cyber bullying and harassment to the dangers of pornography. 

3. Learning why kids should be cautious about what information they share online and be made aware of the permanency of their digital record. 

4.  Tips for maintaining open dialog with kids about technology and understanding the significant role parents play in helping kids be responsible and safe in today's high-tech world. 

5. Numerous ideas and free resources for parents to use with their children will be shared.

Presenter Bio:

Dave Eisenmann, M.A.Ed., Director of Instructional Technology & Media Services at Minnetonka Public Schools, has been educating students, staff, parents and the greater community about technology and safety issues for the past three years. He has spoken to thousands of middle and high school students around the state and frequently talks to teachers and parents as well.  Dave has presented at numerous local and national conferences.  He and his wife have four children.
