Herbicide Application Notice - May 6 & 7

To control weeds and keep our district fields healthy we need to apply herbicide sprays.    We try to complete this type of application when there will be the least impact on usage.  As with any application, weather and wind have an impact on when herbicide applications can be completed.

Herbicides are scheduled to be applied for weed control Friday, May 6, and Saturday, May 7, 2016 to district grounds and fields.

The Product to be applied is: Range Star - Crabgrass Plus Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate

 A schedule of building site application is as follows:

Sartell High School - Tennis courts to top soccer fields 8:00-9:00 PM About 1 hour
Sartell Middle School - West side softball fields 1, 2, 3, 4 9:00 PM About 1 1/2 to 2 hours
Sartell Middle School - East side - All grass field areas  10:30 PM-12:30 AM About 2 hours
Saturday, May 7, 2016
Oak Ridge Elementary - All grasse field areas 12:30 AM About 2 hours

These times are estimated and may change based on rain, wind and other weather factors.

It is recommended that all people and pets stay off the treated fields until the spray has dried approximately two hours depending on weather.
