Herbicide Application Process to Happen 6/5 through 6/7

HERBICIDE Application Notice

Due to weather we were not able to complete HERBICIDE application to all areas of our district last weekend.

To control weeds and keep our district fields healthy we need to apply herbicide sprays.    We try to complete this type of application when there will be the least impact on usage.  As with any application weather and wind have an impact on when herbicide applications can be completed.

Herbicides are scheduled to be applied for weed control Friday, June 5, through Sunday, June 7, 2015 to district grounds and fields. 

The Product to be applied is: TRIMEC Crabgrass Plus Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate

A schedule of building site application is as follows:

Friday, June 5, 2015

Location Approximate Start Time Application Time
Pine Meadow Elementary 7:00 to 10:00 AM About 3 hours
Sartell High School - including athletic fields east of SHS - fields will be completed first, then SHS building area 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM About 4 hours

 

Saturday, June 6 OR Sunday, June 7, 2015

Sartell Middle School - including lower athletic fields behind SMS

9:30 AM to 1:00 PM About 4 hours

These times are estimated and may change based on rain, wind and other weather factors.

It is recommended that all people and pets stay off the treated fields until the spray has dried for approximately two hours depending on weather.
