New Board Chair to Be Elected at Special Meeting.

Sartell-St. Stephen school board members will have a special meeting Tuesday to elect a chair.

The action is necessary after Lesa Kramer, who was elected chairwoman in January, resigned Feb. 21.

Kramer cited constraints on her time in the letter she wrote to board members and Superintendent Joe Hill.

“Career and family commitments do not afford me the amount of time to devote to the position of board chair that I feel it requires,” Kramer wrote.

Patrick Jacobson-Schulte, who was vice chairman, has been serving as acting chairman.

Kramer, who was elected in 2008, will continue to serve on the school board.
