Winter Weather Advisory Agreement

Sartell-St. Stephen, Sauk Rapids-Rice, & St. Cloud Area School Districts will continue to work with one another once again this winter on weather-related emergencies.  In a renewed effort to gather as accurate weather information as is available, the school districts continue to rely on the expertise of St. Cloud State University meteorologists for weather forecasts. Professors at the University localize forecasts and advise the school districts on closing decisions.

Superintendent Search Open Meeting Held on 10-15

There will be a Superintendent Search Open Meeting to gather feedback from District stakeholders in regards to the superintendent search for our district.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 15th, at 7:30 p.m. at Sartell High School.  The purpose of this meeting is to gather feedback to determine the challenges, strengths, goals of the district and what characteristics or skills you would like to see in a superintendent.

ISD 748 Receive High Ratings as Multiple Measurement Ratings Released

All schools in the Sartell-St. Stephen School District continue to have students exceeding state proficiency targets in all subjects and sub-categories.  Along with proficiency, this new system also rates each school on student growth and achievement gap reduction. High schools also receive a score for graduation rate.  These scores are then combined to provide a final rating for each school.

School Board Meeting Schedule Update

The Regular School Board meetings will be held on the third Monday of the month (September 16, October 21, November 18, and December 16) at the District Service Center.  The start times of these meetings has been adjusted from the originally scheduled time.  These meetings will now start at 7:00 p.m.

Sartell-St. Stephen Students Continue To Perform Above Average on Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments

Sartell-St. Stephen School District officials announced the local results of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments.  These assessments measure the reading, mathematics and science proficiency of 3rd through 8th grade and high school students across the state.

"Our students continue to show proficiency at high levels compared to state averages.   We will continue to use this data to further inform our teaching and learning moving forward," shared Mike Spanier, Interim Superintendent for the Sartell-St. Stephen School District.

Due to the weather/humidity conditions for this week, all Junior High Practices (except 7th and 8th grade football equipment) have been cancelled.

Sartell-St. Stephen Students' ACT Scores Outperform State, Nation

The students in the Sartell-St. Stephen Schools continue to perform better than the ACT state and national averages at all levels.    The ACT consists of exams in English, Math, Reading and Science and includes benchmarks that determine students’ readiness for college.

SHS and SMS Parking Lot Update 8/19

Parking lots at SMS and SHS are almost complete. Stripes will be painted in the next few days and main lots should then be fully accessible, weather permitting. Thank you for your patience throughout these upgrades!

Sartell Middle School will be very inaccessible over the next few days as both parking lots (front and back) are being worked on.  If you have business to do at SMS, it would be best to wait and take care of it on Thursday or Friday.
