Board Chair to Host Q & A Session

On Wednesday, February 6, from 5:00-6:30 p.m., Board Chair Michelle Meyer will be hosting a Q & A session at Liquid Assets in Sartell.  Vice Chair Mary McCabe and Director Pam Raden will also be in attendance.  The goal of these session is to broaden communications between the school board and community members.  Please email michelle.meyer@sartell.k12.mn.us if you would like further information.

Barnes & Noble Bookfairs this Weekend

With the city of St. Cloud declaring a snow emergency today and being that we are in a winter storm warning, it's recommend people avoid traveling to Barnes and Noble for the elementary bookfair.  Some staff will still be there and we will send online ordering directions to elementary families tomorrow.

This weekend, some of our schools have partnered up with Barnes & Noble in supporting our schools.

School Board Meeting Rescheduled

The regular School Board Meeting previously scheduled for Monday, November 19th, 2012, has been rescheduled to Monday, November 26th, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. in the District Service Center Board Room.  The agenda for this meeting will be distributed before the Thanksgiving holiday.

ISD 748 Recognized on the AP Honor Roll

The Sartell-St. Stephen School District is being recognized on the Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Roll.  Only 539 school districts in the nation, and 11 in the state of Minnesota, were recognized this year by the College Board.  The recognition is due to the continued opening of AP classroom doors to a significantly broader pool of students, while maintaining or improving the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher. 

Several Swimmers Head to State Competition

The Girls Swimming and Diving Team won their 6th straight Section 6A Championship on Saturday at Sartell.  All the athletes had unbelievable performances.

Ellen Bloom set the Section Record in the 200 IM, and set the Pool  and Section Record in the 100 Backstroke.

The team of Jennifer Thompson, Paige Pawlenty, Gaby Hagen, and Ellen Bloom also broke the Pool and Section Record in the 400 Freestyle Relay.

School Board Election Results

The results for the election for Sartell-St. Stephen School Board have been announced with all precincts reporting.  There were three four-year term positions available.  Pam Raden, Krista Laurich Durrwachter and Jason Nies will serve these positions and start their term in January.  Michelle Meyer will be serving the two-year position starting in mid-November. 

Sartell-St. Stephen Schools to Host Staff Wellness Fair in January

Does your group/organization/business deal with wellness? Wellness includes physical fitness, nutrition, stress-reduction, relaxation etc.

If so, ISD 748 wants you to have a table at the Wellness Fair which will be held on Tr\hursday, January 17th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the District Service Center.  The goal is to increase staff knowledge about local wellness choices.  It will also be a great way to get the word out about your group/organization/business!
