SMS Receives Central Minnesota Arts Grant

Sartell Middle School received grant funding from the Central Minnesota Arts Board. to bring Douglas Wood into the 6th grade Language Arts classrooms for January 6 and 7, and January 10-13. This program will be called, ”Earth Songs and Earth Stories”. The students will integrate literature and music with a well-known and local author and songwriter. Doug Wood will work with each of the Language Arts teams with a focus on an interdisciplinary unit of poetry, stories and songs. 

Girls Swim Team Successful at State Meet

The Girls Swimming and Diving Team had another extremely successful season taking the third place trophy at the State Championships this weekend at the U of M!

Community Education after school and youth classes are cancelled the week of Thanksgiving.  No ASAP classes, Zero Hour at the MS.  Community Education Dance will still be held.  If you have questions, please contact the Community Education office at (320)253-4036.

Over 270 SHS Students Attend Academic Breakfast

Over 270 students in grades 10-12 celebrated this week at the SHS Academic Breakfast.  Students who earned a 3.5 GPA or better during last year's academic year were invited to attend the breakfast.  All students who earned a 3.67 or better GPA also earned a letter in academics and recognized for their achievements.

Home for the Holidays Auditions

The holiday season is coming up soon which means Home for the Holidays is right around the corner! Auditions will be taking place next Tuesday, November 16, from 4:00-5:30. Any SHS student, alum, or Sartell resident is welcome to come and share their talent. Any type of act is welcome ranging from singing a song to playing an instrument to performing a dance. Whatever your talent is, we'd love to have you show it off! The sign up sheet is posted in the choir room. We hope to see you there!
