Mrs. Kim Larsen

Hello Parents,

Welcome to our School Readiness Preschool and Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) programs.  ALL early childhood programs are now located at the newly remodeled District Services Center, 212 Third Avenue North.

I have been with the Sartell-St. Stephen Early Childhood program for 15years. I have a strong connection to our community as I grew up and attended schools in our district and it has been an amazing journey coming back here to teach.  Prior to my work here, I gained experience in the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle and Staples-Motley Districts. I have a MS degree in Child and Family Studies from SCSU. I am also a Master Level trainer for Child Care Resource and Referral focusing on The Six Key Strategies for Promoting Children's Mental Health.

1. Provide Responsive Caregiving

2. Ensure Mastery of Emotional Milestones

3. Understand Temperament Traits

4. Teach Self-Regulation Skills

5. Support & Enhance Resilience

6. Teach Friendship Skills

A little bit more about me...My husband Don and I enjoy being outdoors-- biking, hiking/cross-country skiing through state parks, traveling, and enjoying time with family and friends.  Some of my hobbies include photography, reading, cooking and baking.

I thoroughly enjoy my work with children and families.  Each year I have grown so much through a variety of experiences and I am always striving to learn more both in and out of the classroom.  I am eager to partner you and I strongly believe in our ECFE philosophy that states, "Parents are their children's first and most important teachers."  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email:  My preschool classroom is in Room 215 at the new District Service Center, 212 Third Avenue North. My phone number is: 320-656-3701, ext. 1215.

I'm looking forward to a wonderful year of working with children and families!
