The Truth About Booze – The IMPACT Program
The statistics on alcohol-related accidents and reports of binge drinking among young people may scare some parents. Even though teens many try to dodge the discussion about alcohol, three out of four teens say their parents, not their friends, are their biggest influence.
U-Choose is St. Cloud State University’s education-based prevention effort that focuses on alcohol and drug-related issues and the reduction of high-risk alcohol use. U-Choose will share resources to help ease these conversations with youth, as well sharing a data- driven, evidence-based approach that works to empower students to make informed choices and understand the consequences of high-risk drinking and drug use.

The Boys Basketball team along with the Tom Bearson Foundation will be hosting the 3rd Annual Hoopin In Heaven night at the boys home basketball game on Thursday, December 21. There will be halftime entertainment by the nationally recognized Alexandria Aces along with a 3 point shot contest. Let’s pack the gym with a GREEN OUT that night (one of Tom’s favorite colors). The neon green Tommy B shirts and other apparel options will be sold that evening.

The next PTO meeting will be held on Monday, December 11 at 5:30 p.m. in the Media Center.  Childcare is available.  We hope to see you there!
