General Announcements:

Activity Early Outs: None.

Girls Hockey: There will be a team meeting for all girls in grades 9-12 intending to play hockey on Wednesday 22 October @ 3:45pm in Coach Anderson's Room (C117). 

Boys Hockey:  There will be a team meeting for all boys in grades 9-12 intending to play high school hockey on Friday 24 October @ 8:00am in Coach Hacker's room (C132). 

Varsity boys soccer meeting after school today in Mrs. Symanietz’s room.

Nordic Ski: A parent and athlete meeting for those interested in Nordic Ski will be held on Monday 3 November @ 6:00pm at Cathedral High School.

St Cloud Area High School Alpine/Downhill Ski Team Information and Sign Up:  An informational meeting will be held on Tuesday 21 October @ 7:00pm in room 41 at Tech High School.  This program is open to all students in grades 7-12. The meeting will cover fees, pratices time, equipment requirements, etc.

Bus Evacuations will be practiced on the morning of Wednesday 29 October, practice will take place before students are dropped off at school. 

TARGET:  There will  be a TARGET meeting on Wednesday 22 October at 8:30am in the foods room (B110).  New member are welcome.

Class Ring Meeting: The class ring meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 22 October during Ramp Up (meet in the theater) for the Class of 2017.  Orders will be turned in on Tuesday 28 October during all three lunches with the Josten's rep.

The Central Minnesota Education Fair will be at the College of St. Benedict on October 22 from 9-11 in the Clemens Fieldhouse.   If parents wish to take their students or if parents give permission for their student to attend, simply send a note ahead of time for students to get a pre-excused slip from the main office.  There are many college representatives from all over Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, and North Dakota that will be available for students to talk to.  If a student is going to attend, they need to pre-register on http://www.gotocollegefairs.com/.  This allows students to meet with representatives without having to spend time completing information cards.  For a list of attending institutions and additional information,  please go to http://www.mn-acac.org/event-913173.

A video was sent to you on how to request transcripts through Naviance.  Also in Naviance, you will find the Brag Packet.  Filling this out will allow teachers and counselors to write better letters of recommendation for you.  You can find the Brag Packet under the 'About Me' tab.

Apply to be a Junior Rotarian TODAY!  Meet business owners, managers and community leaders and learn about opportunities to make a difference in Sartell and the world.  Members may be considered for a scholarship to be awarded in the spring at Senior Awards Night.  Additional information and applications are available in the Counseling Office.

ACT Test: Minnesota is providing an opportunity for all juniors to take the ACT free of charge this year.  We will be offering the test at Sartell on April 28th.  Many students choose to take the test more than once.  Students who are looking at playing sports at a Division 1 or 2 level do have to take the ACT on a National Test Date – those dates are available at www.actstudent.org.  Sartell will still offer ACT testing for the September, October, April, and June.

Kaplan is hosting an upcoming online ACT Cram session on Saturday 18 October. These cram sessions can help students prepare for the October 25th ACT test. Click here for additional details.

Join the Stock Market Game: The stock market game is designed to help students learn about the USA’s financial and economic system.  Meets Wednesday mornings from 7:45-8:20 am AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL in the tech computer lab.  Student teams receive a virtual $100,000 to trade issues of stock on the New York and American Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq National Market System. Mock Trial: There will be informational meetings for anyone interested in joining the Mock Trial team.  Meeting are scheduled for Thursday 9 October at 8:00am in room C209 and at 3:30pm in room D104.

FCA Fields of Faith: Wednesday 8 October at the Sartell Football Field, 6:00pm - autographs, 7:00 PM - worship and speaker! Meet 2014 US Hockey Olympian Anne Schleper! Hear students read scripture and challenge other students. Open to the public, free event. Dress warm, bring blankets! sartellfca.org.
