Board Member Relocates Out of District and Resigning from Board of Education

Current Board Member and Vice Chair for the Sartell-St. Stephen School District, Patrick Jacobson-Schulte, will be relocating to a home located outside of the Sartell-St. Stephen School District that meets the needs of his family.  Jacobson-Schulte will be resigning from the Board effective May 30, as it is a requirement that school board members are residents of the district they serve.  The Board will discuss how they will move forward at an upcoming work session on May 14.

In a letter to the Board and Superintendent, Jacobson-Schulte wrote, "Being a thirty plus year resident of Sartell, and a graduate of District 748, I will cherish all of the opportunities I was given by the Sartell-St. Stephen School District staff, administration, teachers, and community. The professional guidance and support over the last four years has been second to none."
"Sartell-St. Stephen School District #748 extends our thanks and appreciation to Mr. Jacobson-Schulte for his service to the district. While we understand his need to make the best decision for his family, the Board of Education will keenly feel the loss of Patrick's participation, involvement, leadership, and energy at the board table," said Mary McCabe, Chair of the Sartell-St. Stephen School Board.
