    JAZZ BAND SWING DANCE: Sartell High School and Middle School Jazz bands will be holding a night of jazz and Swing Dance on Monday, January 28th at 6:30pm in the SHS Commons. This event is open to the public, a free will donation is encouraged but not required! There will be free swing dance lessons for all at 6:30pm, with the concert/dance beginning at 7pm. Refreshments and desserts will be provided.

    DIPLOMAS: Seniors, please let us know how you would like your name to appear on your diploma by submitting the Diploma Survey. Your legal name should be used, no nick names or shortened versions will be accepted. You do have the option of listing your full middle name, middle initial only, or no middle name. Stop and see Amie in the Main Office if you have any questions regarding this. Deadline is Friday, February 15.

    SOCIAL STUDIES TRIP: Any students interested in joining the next Social Studies trip to Italy and Switzerland in June of 2020, please see Mr. Driste for more information!

    BASEBALL OPEN GYM: There will be open gym for baseball at the Sartell Community Center from 7:00-9:00pm on Sunday nights. Open gym is open to all baseball players in grades 9-12. Contact Coach Nemanich with questions.

    OPTIMIST CLUB ESSAY CONTEST: The Optimist Clubs in St Cloud sponsor an essay contest each year for students under 19 years of age. The top two winners of this local contest are submitted in the District Contest where the winner is awarded a $2500 scholarship. For the last two years, local winners have gone on to win the District Scholarship. The local contest deadline is February 1, 2019. All essays and Application Forms must be either mailed or emailed to Jane Holmberg

    BOYS TENNIS: The Boys Tennis Team is currently holding captains practice through January with open court space available Sundays from 5:30-7:00pm and Thursdays from 8:30-10:00pm. Please email Yash Hindka with questions.

    FORECAST YOUR FUTURE: St. Cloud Technical and Community College has invited all 10-12 grade students to participate in their Forecast Your Future/Health programming on Thursday, January 24. The following areas will be covered: Cardiovascular Technology, Dental Assistant, Dental Hygiene, Nursing (ADN), Paramedicine, Practical Nursing, Sonography, and Surgical Technology. Please check out the attached flyer for additional details.

    HONOR SOCIETY: Are you interested in joining the Sartell Chapter of Honor Society? If you are in at least 10th grade and meet the required criteria you may apply. If you have any questions please check out the Honor Society Schoology page using the following code: 27HQ7-2R4R2, or talk to Mrs. Fredrickson! Applications are due February 2019.

    WILD WINGS FUNDRAISER: Hey Sabres! This year in June the SHS Student Council will send 10-15 members to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for a National student council convention. There, they will learn more about leadership and other ways to improve our schools! We are fundraising with Buffalo Wild Wings to help pay for the cost of the trip. By showing a physical copy or a picture of the attached document 10% of your order will go towards funding the trip. Thanks so much & eat up!
