    Hello ORE families!

    NO SCHOOL
Spring Break is March 25-29 so there is no school and all buildings will be closed; we will resume at regular time on Monday, April 1.

    FROM THE PTO
We are looking for a new President for the Oak Ridge Elementary Parent/Teacher Organization! Why get involved? Funds raised by the PTO directly support your child's educational experience. Money raised by the PTO pays for many of the events and activities your children enjoy on a regular basis!

Please visit our Facebook page (@orepto748) for more info and to apply.

    VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECKS
Spring is upon us and with that comes many field trips andspecial events.  If you are interested in volunteering on a fieldtrip/special event or in the classroom, a Criminal Background Check is required.  For information related to the background checks and to apply online, go to www.sartell.k12.mn.us/volunteer, or click here to access the form.

    LOST & FOUND
Please check lost & found as it is overflowing with items that may belong to you.  All unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity at the end of the month.  Remember to label items with your child(s) first and last name so they can be returned.

    BUDGET ADJUSTMENT INFORMATION
In November 2018, the Sartell-St. Stephen School District operating levy vote failed. Funding from the levy would have provided needed revenue for programming at all schools and the operational costs of a new high school. As a result of the failure, the school district must make budget adjustments (cuts and revenue) for the 2019-2020 school year. Information regarding anticipated ISD 748 budget adjustments for the 2019-2020 school year can be found on our website at sartell.k12.mn.us/budgetadjustments.

    Pre-K-2 RECONFIGURATION
The school board has approved the recommendation of a staff committee resulting in reconfiguring Oak Ridge Elementary and Pine Meadow Elementary to serve students in Grades Pre-K-Grade 2. One school site would serve as an Early Learning Center for Pre-K and Kindergarten and the other school site would house Grades 1-2 beginning in the 2020-2021 school year. The PK-2 committee will continue to work on the logistics of this new configuration. The reconfiguration of current school buildings was part of the Community Schools Planning Committee’s long-term facilities plan.  To learn more, please visit our School Building Reconfigurations webpage.
