    We hire in the following skill groups:

    • Administration/support staff - superintendent, principals, directors, IT, etc.
    • Certified staff – teachers, social workers, speech pathologists, etc.
    • Non-certified staff - paraprofessionals, food service, clerical, student supervisors, child care attendants, grounds, bus drivers, custodial, etc.
    • Extracurricular/coaches – head coaches, assistants, etc.

    Substitute teachers and paraprofessionals

    ISD 748 partners with Teachers On Call, an educational staffing company, for our substitute teacher and paraprofessional needs. Substitute Rates:

    • SPED Para - $14.00/hr 
    • Teacher - $120/day or $60/half day (under 4 hours)

    Bargaining Groups/Rates

    The District has five bargaining groups that represent the employee population. Please click here to view contracts for each bargaining unit.

    Substitute Rates:

    • Food Service:  $13.00 per hour
    • Cleaner:  $12.50 per hour
    • Clerical: $13.50 per hour
    • Health Assistant: $15.00 per hour
    • Student Supervisor:  $12.50 per hour
    • Crossing Guard: $10.00 stipend per shift

    Seasonal Rates:

    • Grounds - Winter CDL, Class B:  $16.00 per hour
    • Grounds - Winter, non-CDL:  $14.00 per hour
    • Grounds - Summer: $12.50 per hour
