  • Schedule for Returning Devices, Textbooks, Library Books and Instructional Materials for Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29:

    Thursday, May 28
    Last names starting A-F: 8 to 10a
    Last names starting G-M: 10a to 12p
    Last names starting N-R: 12 to 2p
    Last names starting S-Z: 2 to 4p
    All students: 4 to 6p
                                               

    Friday, May 29: All students: 8a to 12p

    We will use a drive-through system to collect iPads (including charging cords and bricks), media books, teacher materials, and school-owned instruments. Spring Pictures and medications will be available for pick up.

  • May 28 - grades

    Final grades will be available in Skyward on Monday, June 1 at 4:00 p.m.

    If you have questions regarding your child’s grade, please contact the teacher directly prior to June 3 at 11:00 a.m.

    Math, ELA, Social Studies, Science and 8th grade Spanish
    Grade Options Include: A, B, C, D, and Incomplete (I).  (No F's can be given per MN Department of Education Guidance)

    • Students who have completed their work and have earned an A, B, C, or D should be given that grade per usual as an indicator of their learning.
    • For students who have earned an F, if they have made some effort and some work has been turned in, a D will be given to indicate a passing grade.
    • For students who have earned an F due to low engagement or low work completion, an "Incomplete" will be given. This means that teachers were unable to determine a level of learning for the 4th quarter. 

    Specialists and Music Ensembles
    Grade Options Include: Pass (P)/Incomplete (I). (No F's can be given per MN Department of Education Guidance)

    • As long as students turned in at least one assignment, they will be given a "P".

    Social Skills

    • No grades will be given for the 4th quarter.

    Additional Notes

    • For students who earn an "Incomplete", we will try to offer additional support in August. We would prefer to offer this support in an “in-person” setting.  Due the variety of unknows, we will send out more information later in the summer with details if this is possible.

  • FOOD SERVICE

    Year End Report Cards:
    Report Cards will be posted to Skyward Family Access the week of June 8th.  To view report cards, click on the “Portfolio Tab”. If you would like a paper copy mailed to you, please contact the office at 253-2200 or email SMS Office. Thank you!

    Yearbooks: 
    Sartell Middle School yearbooks will be not be delivered until sometime this summer.  Once we receive information from Jostens regarding the middle school delivery date, that will be communicated. Due to Covid 19 Jostens currently only has one plant open and their top priority has been printing/delivering yearbooks to this year's senior class of 2020.  

    June 30: will be the last day Food Service will offer breakfast and lunch meals at Sartell Middle School between 11a-12:30p Monday-Friday for pick up. Meals will be available free of charge to all families June 1-30 for pick up only; no delivery will be available.

    STUDENTS WHO WILL BE IN GRADES 3-5 AT RIVERVIEW 
    EdVenture is Community Education's before/after school childcare for Grades 3-5 at Riverview Intermediate School.

    SUPERINTENDENT UPDATE
    Superintendent Jeff Schwiebert shared a video message and an email update on Thursday, May 7 about staff appreciation, calendar updates, graduation, and more.

    Food Service Location Change for Meal Pick Up: Beginning Monday, May 11, Food Service staff will be by the main entrance (out front) from 11a-12:30p (construction will occur in back/by Door 20). Meals will be available in front of SMS until June 30 (the last day meals will be provided by Food Service).
